Today, Tuesday Feb 1 at 12:48 AM EST, we entered the Chinese New Year of the Water Tiger.

After the Rat year (2020) where we struggled for survival, the Ox year (2021) that felt a little stagnant, comes the Tiger (2022) helping us reconnect with our zest for life.

Even in normal times, this is not a quiet year. Considering the world wide circumstances, in 2022 the good, the bad and the ugly will be particularly extreme. A purifying year for sure! One that has the potential to bring many positive gifts to those who prepared well, are willing to go with the flow without pushing, yet have a definite plan.

However, we should expect rebellions, conflicts, natural disasters (especially involving water), volatile emotions, and general instability. Diplomatic talks might not be at their strongest. Everywhere, we shall see dynamic, rapid, massive changes both collectively and personally. Sudden disruptions will shake our lives making us question everything from our beliefs to our chosen career, from our relationships to where we live.

Strong emotions could make us forge ahead more impulsively than would be wise.

Following our intuition, taking risks, and running with our wildest dreams will prove successful only if our ethics are strong, we keep our ego in check, and are willing to work hard. Fortunes will be made, while others will be lost. The true colors of all will be revealed.

Corruption will hide behind scandals. Health challenges, work difficulties, and fragile relationships could lead to extreme ups and downs that eventually make lies, deceit and manipulations explode in plain sight.

Those people whose beliefs clash with ours, could exert profound emotional pressure. Yet those who resist common sense and want things their way at all costs, might be in for a rude awakening. Remaining tolerant, generous, positive, pragmatic, and relying on a healthy dose of humor will prove lifesaving.

Cooperative endeavors requiring mutual trust could easily break. Starting a new business is likely to prove very beneficial, especially if we have bright, innovative ideas, are willing to work hard, remain humble as well as value empathy and altruism.

Achieving happiness should take precedence over financial greed and selfishness. A year where increased compassion, integrity, kindness, awareness, and truth are rewarded.

In February, our over optimism could push us into making premature changes. Putting our faith in the wrong people is ill-advised, as is starting too big. Good luck could strike from unexpected sources opening new potential for growth.

April is great for expanding our dreams, ideals and visions. Our optimism inspires trust. Our imagination proves lucrative. The expansion of our business is directly dependent on our level of honesty, positive energy and hard work, as well as on our genuine concern for the wellbeing of others.

In May cooperation is favored as long as we don't overextend ourselves. A chance to negotiate for better terms leads to growth in areas that had been stalled.

2022 will definitely keep us on our toes!
