December 3-4, 2021 Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius
Friday December 3 at 11:43 PM PST the Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius (12º22') closes the cosmic portal that opened on November 19 with the Lunar Eclipse in Taurus (27º14').
Eclipse months always bring a sense of excitement. Major changes are afoot. These times of growth and transformation are mostly felt in the areas (houses) where they occur in our natal chart (picture of the heavens for the time, date and place of our birth). If your birthday falls on -or very close to, December 3-4, this new year (from your birthday to your next birthday aka your "Solar Return"), will be particularly significant for you.
As things dissolve around us, nothing seems very logical, safe, nor sure. This last eclipse of the year presents us with more abrupt changes, stress, restlessness, worry, and even downright craziness. In the midst of unstable, unusual, and in some cases quite disturbing, even dangerous, external conditions, we need to do our best to stay relatively detached. Festering areas come to the surface, forcing us to face and resolve the challenges at hand with courage and integrity.
Unexpected setbacks, strange delays and sudden losses created by careless trust cause anxiety and a vague sense of discontentedness. Financial restrictions, tedious duties help us recognize what is outworn in our lives. In this period of mixed blessings, discrimination is required. Not all is what it seems and much could be all at once hidden from view and hiding in plain sight. Falling prey to insecurity and depression is not advised. If on the contrary we can use our imagination to explore different areas of creative vision, grasp the new opportunities that are either offered or self-manifested, we gain the power to control our own destiny. Positive, constructive changes, original solutions, lead to improved circumstances which in turn reveal new directions.
The strength of our convictions, a deep need to fight injustice and solve environmental problems bring people who think alike together to cooperate for the greater good. The gap between those-who-are and those-who-are-not will become so wide as to literally create two humanities existing simultaneously with very little in common. Intense bonds form among like-spirited individuals, while dissenting factions detach themselves naturally. These communities created by members who share a deep, mystical sense of unity, transcend age, race, culture, language, religion, as well as time and geographical location. Even if the changes they bring about are not immediately apparent, events are set into motion that cannot be stopped and will eventually prove to be for the benefit of all.
Family relationships can be unstable, ridden with conflicts, and a cause for concern and anxiety. We could alternate between feeling hypersensitive, overemotional, rejected, impressionable, and submissive. As life seems harsh, unfair, filled with disappointments and hostility, we could grow impatient, even rebellious. Dreams of running away, of escaping it all, may cross our minds more than once. Yet, this is our chance to truly apply our spiritual awareness to our daily lives and ask ourselves if those unsatisfactory circumstances are really coming from the outside or if they might mirror internal, self-sabotaging mental patterns. Drawing on meditation, pursuing creative activities, spending quality time in nature helps us rise our consciousness above the dramas.
Communications could be muddled, evasive, confused, illogical, vaguely troublesome and downright fraudulent. We should beware of lazy people whose grandiose ideas end up proving very costly. Promising more than we can deliver is ill advised. Cutting ourselves from destructive situations and toxic people is a must. More than ever is it important to surround ourselves with honorable individuals who are dynamic and charismatic. Their special way of expressing their uniqueness becomes a powerful catalyst for us to assert our own freedom. A deep friendship or love affair the intensity of which could impact our entire life, is likely to bring out deeply buried feelings of control, jealousy, hidden passion, competitiveness, hostility, envy, and/or possessiveness. As uncomfortable as they are, these emotions need to be carefully examined, so that they may be purged and released. It is only when deceptions, lies and manipulations are being exposed that our greatest potential can bloom.
As everything that was fake is dissolving, brilliant flashes of intuition open new doors. Those who worked diligently in the past with patience, self-discipline and courage reap the rewards of their efforts. A dream we invested practical efforts into leads to creative results. If we continue planning carefully, remain well organized, and act with maturity, responsibility and fortitude, our financial situation improves. It is time to choose our battles carefully and assess the price we shall have to pay should we plunge into endeavors we are not properly prepared for. Acting from a place of discretion and tolerance attracts positive outcomes. Our most powerful protection is our faith in the better future that is sure to unfold in 2023, our pure motivations, our honor and our integrity. Expressing good will, rooting ourselves in trust, and interacting joyfully with loyal friends is the sure recipe to keep growing positively. Offering support to the weak, the tired, the troubled ones, remaining gracious, serene and handling the tasks at hand with efficiency helps us lay solid foundations for the future we are creating one moment, one choice at a time.
As the movie says: "In the end, everything will be alright. If things are not alright, it's not the end".
