Mars in Gemini August 2022-March 2023

Mars, the planet of self-assertion, courage, leadership, and dynamic energy entered Gemini, the most mental sign of all, on August 20, 2022 at 3:56 AM EDT. It will stay in that sign for 7 months, until March 25, 2023.

What motivates us?

What desires drive us forward?

What are the challenges we might encounter and how can we transmute them?

During the next 7 months, we could feel we are on a roller-coaster ride. We are likely to feel particularly restless. It will feel tough to remain still. The rhythm of daily life is speeding up. Our curiosity is at an all times' high, creating the risk that we become quite scattered. More than ever is it important that we choose our battles wisely.

Our need to make new social contacts and connections is incredibly intensified. We are likely to be attracted to eclectic people and unusual places.

Communication is on fire. Our curiosity is so high, and our mind so hungry for mental stimulation, that we may find ourselves wanting to absorb more information than we can possibly process. The way we communicate becomes super decisive and dynamic. We are able to think very quickly in emergency situations, yet should be careful not to impulsively jump to conclusions before having sufficient data to make the right decision, and not be so passionate that we give the impression of verbally attacking others.

Because, during the next 7 months, we tend to identify with our beliefs, it could be tempting to defend our position against all odds, and coerce others into embracing our ideas. Conflicts with the people we interact with on a regular basis are likely. Tempers flare up quickly. We could be argumentative, irritable, mentally aggressive, even sarcastic, caustic, defiant, and downright rude. Our love of a stimulating debate could easily turn into verbal sparring. Sudden bursts of emotional frustration, awkward misunderstandings, heated confrontations, righteous anger help us reframe our reality. What we normally did not have words for, we are finally able to acknowledge.

More than ever do words exert tremendous power. They can be constructive, but also incredibly hurtful and destructive. After all the anagram of "words" is "swords". Speaking our mind is good and encouraged by this transit. However, we need to be extra careful regarding what we say, how, when, and to whom we say it. Our words having the potential to travel far and quickly, could come back to haunt us. Not a good idea to engage in any form of gossip. By the same token, misinformation and fake news spread at the speed of lightning, creating a lot of confusion.

This could result in disorientation, a loss of direction, a lower libido, lethargy, and an eroded sense of personal power. Not knowing where our true destiny lies, could make personal choices look like a bit of a battlefield.

More positively, Mars in Gemini, changes the way we express our anger, our leadership, our courage, pursue our goals, react to threats and insults, and in general, relate to others.

We ask ourselves all sorts of questions and are eager to study, diversify our interests, and take on a new training.

We could find ourselves changing our occupation or working several jobs simultaneously. We are more assertive and direct in speech, clever, and resourceful. We devise ingenuous strategies to achieve our goals. We are not afraid to try new ways of approaching things. We give ourselves more freedom to explore our talents, and different options. We are excited to experiment, thus revealing new possibilities. This is a time of inspiration, as well as exciting, bright ideas. We are willing to work longer hours on a project we are passionate about, are talkative, and enthusiastic. This is an excellent time for selling an idea and righting all the wrongs we see around us.

In Loving Light.
