May 26, 2021 Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius
On Wednesday May 26 at 4:14 AM PDT, we shall witness the first of 2 eclipses. The Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius (5º26’) will be followed on Thursday June 10 at 3:53 AM PDT by a Solar Eclipse in Gemini (19ª47').
Eclipse months always bring a sense of excitement. Major changes are afoot. These times of growth and transformation are mostly felt in the areas (houses) of our natal chart (picture of the heavens for the time, date and place of our birth) where they fall. If your birthday falls on -or very close to, May 26 or June 10, this year will be particularly significant for you.
Communication is key. The axis triggered (Gemini/Sagittarius) stresses the importance of information, educating ourselves, as well as questioning our philosophy of life, the rules and laws we accept and our spiritual values. Major revelations could emerge in those areas both in our personal lives and collectively.
It would seem that the world has become a very hard, restrictive and evil place. Surrounding circumstances could keep throwing obstacles on our path. We could suffer from loneliness and ill health, experience financial setbacks, and/or get caught in arguments, employment difficulties and ego struggles. Frustrating delays are testing our willingness to fight for what we believe in. Yet more than ever do we need to choose our battles.
World events could feel overwhelming. Maybe because we are being given stories rather than actual news. Many lies, manipulations and vague opinions make the truth extremely difficult to see, leading to fogginess and confusion. We should resist doubting ourselves, as well as relying too heavily on people who seem to have more authority than we do. Using our powers of discernment and trusting our intuition is essential. If something doesn't feel right, it most likely isn't. A healthy level of discipline boosts our self-confidence transmuting any lack of motivation, self-indulgence or unrealistic expectations into a deeper sense of personal mastery.
As a very clear separation is occurring within humanity, sharply dividing people, our tolerance is being tested. We could find that it is increasingly difficult to speak with those who do not share our beliefs. Yet having compassion for other people's plights, keeping the lines of communication open and becoming adept in the art of loving kindness and respect can light with wisdom the fear and darkness that are spreading like wild fires. Gathering with our spiritual family brings comfort and strength. Following the less beaten path is advisable.
This eclipse is crumbling down reality as we knew it, leaving us with scattered pieces. It sends shock waves through society and enhances a strong need to fight against injustice, protect those who are defenseless and vehemently oppose the perpetrators of wrong-doings. Some people's emotions could boil out of control. We could witness sudden outbursts of temper, aggressive actions and violent revenges requiring swift, effective and intelligent responses.
Yet, somehow, this chaos which is wildly shaking everything up, is also enlivening. Feeling sorry for ourselves, drowning in feelings of martyrdom, hiding our gifts could be tempting but is not recommended! The time has come to leave past inhibitions behind. We better ourselves when we face with courage the pain we are experiencing, acknowledge our responsibilities and work in an organized, focused and consistent manner towards the future we do want.
We are likely to apply innovation and originality to our career. We could find unexpected, creative ways of making money. Collaborating with like-spirited people, rather than working on our own, is more beneficial than ever.
Throwing ourselves into an absorbing project, facing the challenges at hand in a grounded, realistic and restrained manner, striking a healthy balance between our heart and our mind, finding an equilibrium between stability and adventurousness while remaining in integrity with our own truth help us regain or maintain inner peace. Doors open, people appear, opportunities arise and if we have the courage to embrace them, we could discover that our life is being steered in exciting new directions.
At this juncture, some level of physical isolation is useful to reassess many aspects of our lives. Staying away from the media in general (also social media) brings peace back to our inner self. Spending reflective time in nature, particularly near a body of water, sitting at home in meditation and prayer, feeling good thoughts, listening to inspirational music, enjoying art and beauty, and quietly persisting in our spiritual studies help soothe our soul and enable us to regain a sense of perspective, harmony and balance.
