As we are approaching the end of 2022 -which for many was a difficult year, it is only too natural to wonder what 2023 has in store for us. While I believe that the most valuable use of Astrology is as a tool of self-understanding, predictions are definitely its most popular aspect.

There are several major planetary changes in 2023 but the most important one is Pluto changing signs in March. Pluto being a slow moving planet who spends up to two decades in one sign, this is particularly significant.

Pluto is the planet of power. He brings to the surface the darkest of darkness for transformation and purifications. Aquarius is the sign of freedom, individuality, friendship, humanitarian projects, technology, and futuristic concepts. So when Pluto enters Aquarius what can we expect? How can we prepare? What upheavals are going to happen?

Pluto who has been in Capricorn since President Obama's election in November 2008, will enter the next sign, Aquarius, on March 24, 2023 till June 11, 2023. Due to retrogradation, it will return to Capricorn for 7 months before entering Aquarius a second time on January 22, 2024 till Sept 2, 2024. And again will go back into Capricorn one last time for a couple of months before entering Aquarius for the 3rd time, this time permanently on November 19, 2024 where he will stay until January 20, 2044.

It is always interesting to go back in history and see what happened the last time Pluto was in Aquarius. During that period from 1777 to 1799 two major revolutions took place: in America and in France. The US, claiming its independence from the British Empire, was officially born as a democracy very shortly prior to 1777, while in 1789 the French population stormed into the Bastille, in protest of Louis the XVIth's abuse of power which ended monarchy.

The common theme in these two events is the rebellion against oppression and people taking their destiny in their own hands.

Starting in March 2023, we shall begin seeing some major shifts that will not necessarily immediately overthrow corrupt governments or people in positions of authority, but will very much begin the irrevocable process of outing them, the results of which will become most obvious in 2024.

I'm sure you have heard this saying: "we are the ones we have been waiting for' . In 2023, its meaning will start hitting us with full force. We shall start realizing that we only have ourselves to rely on to create the changes that need to happen worldwide. We no longer will have the luxury to wait for help to come from the outside. Power will be taken over by people rejecting situations which have conditioned us arbitrarily by overthrowing dictatorial forms of authority. New leaders will emerge in every country and every aspect of life. Leaders who understand the true needs of the people and who will be in tune with The Truth. A lot of false prophets, people who sold wind, claimed things without any proof, spread falsehoods based on spiritual imagination, will see their notoriety wane very quickly.

We shall have to discern what helps us move forward and what aspects of our lives no longer serve us.

Innovative approaches will be explored that help us understand how we are all inter-related and mutually affect each other.

We are likely to witness major scientific advances, and incredible discoveries, that will completely revolutionize technology and how we use it. Serious problems could emerge with Artificial intelligence. We may find that robots or clones are gaining a power that begins to control, even threaten us. Space travel may become more readily and major ET revelations could happen.

It's also worth noting that when Pluto, the most sexual sign, finds himself in Aquarius, the most egalitarian of signs, the new genders that have recently evolved out of the original male-female genders, could intensify.

In the light of new information -which in the past had been purposely concealed, we shall realize that the way we used to interpret reality was completely wrong. And that could create serious conflicts within some people who are so fixed in their opinions or so brainwashed by the media, that they simply cannot integrate the truth. It is a fact that we can take people's work, home, relationships, even their money, and somehow they will find a way to survive, but taking away their beliefs and they collapse completely. Unfortunately, for those who resist the changes that are happening, life will increasingly become an uphill struggle, for those who choose to go with the flow, things will become easier and easier.

Major social reforms will start happening. The emphasis will be on the future and joining causes that benefit all of humanity.

We are likely to see radical changes of alliances across the globe. On a personal level, it will become necessary that we use great discrimination in choosing our relationships. Manipulations and selfishness will become increasingly exposed. Subconscious patterns will emerge in the open in sudden, erratic ways. Some of our friendships are likely to end very abruptly, making us realize how destructive they were. I find it fascinating that in recent years we started hearing more and more about narcissism, gaslighting, bi-polar personalities etc... Articles, videos, books appeared everywhere warning us of the dangers of interacting with toxic people, or engaging in self-sabotaging behaviors.

What was once seen as desirable will no longer hold precedence. Old ideas will lead to downfalls. We shall need to creatively transform any barrier that was blocking our growth and our evolution. Our dreams, hopes, and goals will go through marked transformations.

As old beliefs, outmoded traditions and laws that are no longer relevant are collapsing, we could feel more and more isolated. Simultaneously, groups and movements aiming at bringing much needed reforms will emerge everywhere. The notion of villages where we join forces with like-spirited people in building a world that doesn't suppress humanity, but helps us grow and evolve in positive ways through innovative ideas. Pluto in Aquarius heralds an era which will promote cooperation, successful partnerships, and increased self-knowledge through perceptive spiritual insights.

The new generation of children born with Pluto in Aquarius will be very liberated, scientific, and focused on social and humanitarian issues. They will bring true democracy.

In the next 21 years, the gradual breakdown of all the negative aspects of society will lead to a powerful personal and collective regeneration that will enable us to be reborn on a whole new level of consciousness. We shall become Masters of our own destiny, the Great Man the I Ching speaks about, individuated in the Jungian sense of the term, and spiritually conscious.
