RUNE OF THE MONTH:. Eihaz, respect. The dictionary gives as the meaning of this word “a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities or achievements.” And as its synonyms “esteem, regard, high opinion, admiration, reverence, deference, honor….”. During the month of August we are being asked to truly honor ourselves and recognize the divinity in all whom we meet. If we really believe that we are all one, then what we see in another is a reflection of ourselves. As we recognize the beauty, the magic and the power of each of us, we are revering our own. In a world of positive energy, there is no place for war, defeat, depression and anxiety. Let’s admire each other. Let us become divine beings having a divine experience.

Uranus remains retrograde this whole month until Dec 21, 2014 when it will have reached 12º34’ Aries. Its shadow period remains until April 7, 2015. The degrees it travels in August (16º28’-15º53’ Aries) are represented in the Sabian Symbols by: “Brownies dancing in the setting sun” and “Two prim spinsters sitting together in silence”. In this context, Brownies are not cookies but imaginary good-natured spirits, often supposed to perform important services around the house by night so as not to be seen, such as thrashing, churning and sweeping. They take delight in gifts of porridge and honey and leave if mistreated or not honored. We should all be blessed to have some of these beautiful fairy people around our homes!!! It is time to free ourselves from judgments, fears and interpretations of reality which, making us project upon others what we fail to see in ourselves, hinder our full expression. As we release our limitations, magic can start happening, unseen help and comfort can manifest, synchronicities can pave our paths with the goodness of truth. A month to believe that nothing is impossible and that miracles are part of ordinary reality.

Neptune remains retrograde this whole month until November 15. In July it travels between 6º55’ and 6º08’ Pisces. Its shadow period lasts until January 2015. This degree is symbolized by the following image: “Illuminated by a shaft of light, a large cross lies on rocks surrounded by sea and mist”. Neptune, the planet of unconditional love, mysticism, enchantment and oneness comes to remind us that the time to awaken is now. It is only by seeking enlightenment that we shall vanquish the density, darkness and violence coming to the surface in these troubled times of shifts from the old to the new. As we raise superior in spirit to the apparent conditions endeavoring to drag us down into misery, scarcity and failure, we become a point of clear light guiding those who are still lost in the dark night of the soul.

Pluto continues being retrograde this whole month until September 23. Its shadow period will last until January 2015. This month, it travels between 11º37’ and 11º07’ Capricorn. This degree is represented in the Sabian Symbols by the following image: “A student of nature lecturing revealing little-known aspects of life.” The more in touch we become with the mysteries of nature and the esoteric laws of the universe, the deeper we shall know ourselves. A time to reconnect with trees, plants, rocks and the elements, to listen to wild animals and become sensitive to the messages they may all have for us. As the saying goes: God hid the realities of existence where we would least look for it, within our own soul. Now is the time to search within and stop giving so much power to what lies outside of us. As we do so, serenity will submerge us and with it, a profound knowingness of our divine truth.

A day of setting emotional boundaries. A day to make constructive changes by focusing on what is essential. Cooperation with others, reforms and renovations bring positive results. During the next 2 weeks, our minds are precise, detailed and organized. We express ourselves with great clarity and intelligence. We could feel a little wooly headed today. Great for daydreaming, resting, artwork, music, activities in or around water, meditating, listening to inspiring talks and healing our soul. Definitely not the best for signing contracts or any legal paper requiring attention to detail. A day to take time for ourselves and allow our thoughts to wander, leading to enlightening new understandings.

Thursday 8/21: Mercury Trine Pluto (12:19 PM)

Our insights are profound today. We hear and see what is between the lines. Our arguments are convincing and our ability to grasp the situation helps us enlist the support of others. A great day for lecturing, writing and connecting with others at a deep level.

Friday 8/22: the Sun enters Virgo (9:46 PM till September 22^nd)

The next month is about attention to details, order and healing. A wonderful time to start a fast or a new exercise regimen. Using the powers of our mind to manifest the realities we want comes to the forefront. Great for gaining clarity.
