RUNE OF THE MONTH: Ehwaz “letting go”. As a plant needs to shed dead leaves in order to keep growing, so do we need to release the past that has served us until now, but no longer supports our evolution. A time to reassess what works and what doesn’t, to go through our closets and drawers, to clear our address book and make space for the new.

Jupiter remains retrograde this whole month and will remain so until May 9. Its shadow period lasts until August 8. The degrees it travels in February (22º20’-19º24’ Virgo) are represented in the Sabian Symbols by the following images: “A lion tamer displays his skill and character”, “A royal coat of arms enriched with precious stones”, “A girl’s basketball team” and “a caravan of cars headed to the West Coast”. We are required this month to hone our skills, add new techniques, connect with our lineage as well as our own gifts and talents. Place them on a balcony, in a garden or near a window so that they are out by exactly 6:39 AM. Once that moment has passed, staple them together and put them away in a folder expecting the manifestation of all your dreams…

 

Our next intentional meditation cycle will begin with the Full Moon in Virgo on Monday 2/22 at exactly 10:20 AM. Take out as many blank sheets as you will have intentions to be charged by the rays of the Full Moon on a balcony, in a garden, or by a window. Once that moment has passed, put them away in a folder until the next New Moon (Solar Eclipse) in Pisces on 3/8.

Action feels compelling. We are passionate about our choices and move forward with a sense of power. Efforts combined with others lead to greater achievements than trying to force our way on our own. A wonderful day to attend an elegant social event, gather with friends and/or go on a fun date. We are well disposed towards others and ready to accomplish half of the journey towards them. Our positive and enthusiastic attitude brings wonderful people into our life who in turn open us to enriching experiences. Excellent for manifesting financial abundance.

Saturday 2/13: Mercury re-enters Aquarius (2:43 PM till March 5), Mars Sextile Jupiter (2:59 PM)

During the next three weeks, our interests are eclectic, mostly geared towards humanitarian projects. We could be more technologically inclined than usual. Excellent for installing new software and exploring extra-terrestrial occurrences. Friendship is greatly favored. Today, more specifically, is great for expanding our financial, professional and educational goals. We act with great courage, trust and faith. Our optimism creates the positive outcome we envision.

 

Tuesday 2/16: Venus enters Aquarius (8:17 PM till March 12)

During the next month, humanitarian endeavors are particularly attractive. Our focus is more on friendship than on love. We are open to unusual social connections that are both freeing and enriching. We seek people who walk to the sound of their own drummer. In our personal relationships, we require more freedom than usual. A time to balance intimacy and independence and to assert our individuality in our intimate ties with others. Any sign of co-dependency, jealousy or possessiveness are a turn-off.

 

Thursday 2/18: Sun enters Pisces (9:34 PM till March 19)

In the coming month, our sensitivity and compassion are heightened. We are particularly attracted to art and spirituality as well as new ways of expressing our creativity. Water could be soothing. We could feel easily drained by others who are on different wavelengths, and need quiet time to ourselves to meditate and rest our spirit. The veil between dimensions seems thinner than ever.

 

Thursday 2/25: Mercury Sextile Saturn (0:06 AM)

A day where we feel particularly focused, grounded and disciplined. Wonderful for clearing our desk of backlogged work and to reassess our goals. We further our ambitions with structure and seek mature contacts with people whom we respect and admire. Opportunities today come as a result of our patience, seriousness and persistence.

 

Friday 2/26: Mercury Sextile Uranus (3:02 PM)

A day when plans are disrupted by strange occurrences. Previously hidden aspects of our lives could unexpectedly surface challenging our beliefs. Sudden realizations could change our thoughts about reality. People we were close to could disappear from our lives while new, original friends appear, introducing us to new ideas, social circles and exciting projects. Our mental focus is on the future as well as humanitarian projects.

 

Sunday 2/28: Sun Conjunct Neptune (7:48 AM)

A day to express sensitivity to the plight of others, compassion and respect. More than usual, could we be psychically tuned, seek beauty, magic and connect to higher spheres of consciousness. Not so good however for anything requiring attention to details, but excellent for creative inspiration, meditation, channeling and healing. A need for sacredness, to dream, as well as be in silence and serenity permeates this special day.

 

Monday 2/29: Venus Sextile Saturn (5:07 PM)

Emotional commitment assumes a greater than usual importance. We examine our relationships with great seriousness, realism and maturity. Good for getting engaged. Single people are much clearer on what they want in a partnership. Excellent for financial rewards resulting from sound investments.
